Angel smiled at the woman, she seemed friendly. “Hey sugar, d’you need any help at all?”
"Hello." Ellie smiled at the woman in her usual friendly manner. "It’s nice of you to offer. I’m just meeting a friend of mine."
“Ellie, eh? Always liked that name Ellie. Nice to meet you too, Ellie.”
"That’s kind of you to say. Thanks. It’s better than ‘Miller’, I guess."

“Ah! Yes! Hello there. I’m the Doctor. What’s your name?”
"Hello there, Doctor. Nice to meet you. I’m Ellie."
"Let’s get this over with, then. Hello. I’m Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller, I work for Wessex Police, and I am in a very bad mood right now.”
Ellie sighed and looked the newcomer up and down. “Can I help you?”
“No thank you.” she says. “I was wondering if you could just tell me where I am and maybe the date, then I’ll be out of your hair.”
“Of course, um. It’s the twentieth, I think. You’re at Broadchurch police station… why do you ask?”
“Yes, I’m fine. I was just a bit lost that’s all. Mostly good now over than… the twentieth of which month?”
"March. Twentieth of March. Are you sure you’re fine? I can point you to the tourist information center if they want. Or I could give you a map?"
Hardy had me out today. In the snow.
Not the happiest I could be, today.
“Oh, talking! I’m brilliant at talking! I do it every day. What would you like to talk about?”
"Anything, really. Sorry. I should introduce myself. I’m Sergeant Miller. But call me Ellie."
"And you are?"
“If you don’t mind…”
“What’s wrong? I mean, if you don’t mind my asking, of course.”
"Wow, you… look familiar."
"Sorry. Just… an argument with my boss. Nothing big."
“Can I help? I’m good at helping!”
"That’s very kind of you, Sir."
"Just someone sane to talk to would be nice.."
“No thank you, Love. Why aren’t you in a good mood?”
"Just a little disagreement with my boss. No biggie."
"Are you alright?"
